Bucs' Jon Robinson to be Titans' new GM
Jon Robinson, the Bucs' director of player personnel and Jason Licht's right-hand man, has agreed to terms as the new general manager of the Tennessee Titans, the Times' Rick Stroud confirmed Thursday morning.
Robinson, who helped Licht assemble a 2015 draft class that produced four starters, including record-setting quarterback Jameis Winston, is a Tennessee native who interviewed for the Titans' job Friday. He'll now be part of another coaching search running parallel to the Bucs.
Robinson joined the Bucs after a long run with the Patriots, where he worked with Licht. Robinson interviewed for the Jets' GM opening last season and will now take over another team with the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft and a strong young quarterback in Marcus Mariota.
