Revis could play in Bucs' third preseason game
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Cornerback Darrelle Revis won't participate in drills against the Patriots in the Bucs' dual practices this week.
But the All-Pro is progressing in rehab from his knee injury to the point the Bucs are considering letting him play in the team's third preseason game, next week at Miami.
General manager Mark Dominik said that option is on the table, but no final decision will be made immediately.
Revis traveled to New England with the Bucs but is doing only individual drills and won't participate in any exercises against Patriots players.
Revis has said he'd like to play in the preseason but the decision isn't ultimately his.
The Bucs never ruled out playing Revis in the preseason but have maintained the primary goal was to prepare him for the regular season opener against the Jets.
