Bucs Beat

Rick Stroud, Greg Auman and Matt Baker

Score 10 and win? Not often in NFL ...

The Bucs pulled off something genuinely rare Sunday afternoon -- not winning at home, of course, but winning when only scoring 10 points.

Tampa Bay had lost 29 straight games when scoring 10 points or less -- the last time they did that was Dec. 2005, when the Bucs got a 10-3 win over the Saints. Across the NFL, it has happened only one other time this season -- the Falcons got a 10-7 win over the Titans, but NFL teams scoring 10 or less were 1-31 going into Sunday's games and the Bucs' win.

Even Lovie Smith -- known of course as a defensive coach -- has only pulled it off twice, and none since 2006. He was 2-30 as a head coach when scoring 10 or less before Sunday's win ...

The Cowboys, held to 42 rushing yards in the loss, were held to under 50 rushing yards and under 10 points for only the fourth time in the last 15 years.
