Seferian-Jenkins out again for Bucs, who face Pierre-Paul
For the sixth straight game, the Bucs will play without tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who is inactive again today with a shoulder injury as the Bucs play host to the Giants.
The rest of the Bucs' inactives are largely expected, with WR Vincent Jackson (knee), DE Jacquies Smith (ankle), S Major Wright (hamstring) and S D.J. Swearinger (toe) also out with injuries. The only healthy scratches are No. 3 QB Ryan Griffin and newly signed DE Lawrence Sidbury.
The Bucs will start first-year phenom Howard Jones at end in place of Smith -- he has three sacks in his first three NFL games, getting the nod over veteran George Johnson, who still has zero sacks.
The Giants have former USF DE Jason Pierre-Paul active, so he'll make his season debut in the stadium where he once starred for USF, playing for the first time since a serious July 4 fireworks accident forced the amputation of the index finger and did additional damage to his hand. The Giants are without a few key starters in CB Prince Amukamara, TE Larry Donnell and WR Victor Cruz.
