USF product Ryne Giddins lands with Bucs
The Bucs have added their second USF player in two days.
The team announced the signing of former Bulls DE Ryne Giddins on Tuesday, a day after signing S Mark Joyce. The 6-foot-3, 253-pound Giddins finished his USF career with 118 tackles (32 for a loss) and 19.5 sacks. He’ll rejoin former Armwood High teammate OT Matt Patchan.
The Bucs also signed DE James Ruffin. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Ruffin was an undrafted free agent for the Bucs in 2010 out of Northern Iowa and most recently played with the AFL’s Spokane Shock.
They team waived LB Jeremy Grable (injury), who had been in a walking boot during practice, and S Mycal Swaim, a rookie out of Eastern Michigan.
Eight of the 90 players on the Bucs’ roster have joined since July 22.
