Winston makes rare cameo on Bucs' injury report
Bucs QB Jameis Winston participated fully in Wednesday's practice, but he's nonetheless included in the Bucs' official injury report for the first time in his NFL career after missing the end of last week's loss to the Falcons with a knee injury.
Winston's top target, WR Mike Evans, who leads the NFL with eight touchdown receptions, is also included in the injury report, even though he too had full participation. Evans remained in the NFL's concussion protocol Wednesday after taking a hard hit on the sidelines in the Falcons game, though head coach Dirk Koetter said he expected Evans to be cleared from the protocol, perhaps before Thursday's practice.
While both Winston and Evans are expected to be healthy and play Sunday against the Bears, there are six other players limited by injuries. RB Doug Martin practiced for the first time since injuring his hamstring in Week 2 and was limited in his participation, as was C Joe Hawley (knee) and DT Clinton McDonald (hamstring). RB Jacquizz Rodgers (foot), G Kevin Pamphile (concussion) and WR Russell Shepard (hip) were all held out of Wednesday's practice.
