WR Jackson active for Bucs against Bills
For NFL teams and their fans, no news at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday is generally good news -- that's when teams in 1 p.m. kickoffs announce their gameday inactives, and there were no significant names for the Bucs and today's home game against Buffalo.
That means top receiver Vincent Jackson, limited by a hamstring injury this week, is active and a go against the Bills -- he has twice as many yards of total offense as any of his teammates, so it's a boost for Mike Glennon and an offense that struggled to six points last week at Carolina.
The inactives themselves are as we've come to expect -- injured guard Carl Nicks and a half-dozen reserves: CB Deveron Carr, S Bradley McDougald, RB/FB Lonnie Pryor, G Patrick Omameh, DT Gary Gibson and newly signed LB Danny Lansanah.
Those inactives mean full depth on offense at the skill positions -- WRs like Skye Dawson and Chris Owusu and TE Kyle Adams are all active, so there are more options available in the chance that Jackson can't go a full game. We'll have updates throughout the game on Twitter at @gregauman ...
