Radford hires Brad Greenberg
The Seth Greenberg coaching tree? The former USF and current Virginia Tech coach's brother, Brad, who was an assistant during Greenberg's USF tenure and is associate head coach with the Hokies, will be named as head coach at nearby Radford.
Brad Greenberg has extensive NBA and college experience -- he drafted Allen Iverson as general manager of the 76ers in 1996 -- but this is the 53-year-old's first head coaching job. And yes, even this job could have a ripple effect on at least an interested party in USF's coaching search -- the Daily Press of Hampton Roads, Va., reports that former Memphis coach George "Tic" Price, a V-Tech alum, is a candidate to replace Brad Greenberg on his brother's coaching staff.
