Allen's first INT keeps Bulls ahead

Sophomore safety Nate Allen's first career interception has allowed USF to cling to a 7-3 lead late in the second quarter against Elon.

The Phoenix had driven clear to the USF 12, but the Bulls' defense dropped Elon for losses on back-to-back plays. Elon quarterback Scott Riddle lofted a pass toward the end zone, but Allen drifted over in coverage and picked off the pass before going out of bounds.
