ESPN's Golic: Leavitt 'a coach's coach'

OK. Jim Leavitt went a full eight minutes on Mike & Mike this morning -- should be able to get an audio link up later this afternoon, so I'm not going to transcribe the whole deal. Not yet ,anyway. Not to go Leavitt on everybody, but with the short week, limited amount of time, I've got to focus on an 11 a.m. photo shoot over at USF for a story running Thursday. (Cryptic teasers!)

Mike Golic appreciated Leavitt's curt response on his reaction to being ranked No. 2 in the BCS standings: "That's great." He said Leavitt sounds like a football coach trying to get ready for a big game, but said there might be a tiny, muted celebration in private. Again, teeny-tiny.

"I have to believe in a private moment, there was a 'Woohoo!' or a 'Yippee!" Golic said, making a tiny fist-pump. "I don't think a cartwheel. I'm going to stop at the cartwheel. Possibly up on the toes, but not leaving the ground jumping."
