Free throws falling, Bulls up 30-23
One of Stan Heath's expectations for his first season is improved free-throw shooting, and in his third game, that remains a work in progress.
USF shot 64 percent at the line in its first two losses, and the Bulls hit one of their first five free throws Friday. They've since hit six of eight, and have a 30-23 lead with 1:52 to play. Freshman Orane Chin continues to play well, hitting the offensive boards and leading the way with eight points. He'd totaled one point in his first two games.
