Jenkins, Williams get showcase invites
USF senior cornerbacks Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams are the first Bulls this year to be invited to college football's senior showcase games in January. Both players have gotten invitations to the East-West Shrine Game in Houston, while Jenkins has also been invited to the Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
The invites put Jenkins and Williams in elite company in USF history. Kicker Bill Gramatica is the only USF player to attend the East-West Shrine Game (after the 2000 season), while running back Andre Hall is the only Bull to have played in the Senior Bowl (2005). Invitations are just starting to go out, so expect other Bulls seniors, starting with linebacker Ben Moffitt, to be joining Jenkins and Williams in the postseason showcase games.
