Bulls face Bearcats without RBs Ford, Taylor
No. 24 USF will take on Cincinnati on Thursday night without two of its top running backs, as sophomores Mike Ford and Jamar Taylor did not travel with the team because of ankle injuries suffered in Saturday's loss at Louisville.
Both players were limited in last week's loss, when the Bulls rushed for a record-low 8 yards. USF has rotated five running backs this season, so they'll rely on starter Ben Williams (151 yards), junior Mo Plancher (237 yards) and sophomore Richard Kelly (104 yards). The three have combined for 100 carries and an average of 4.9 yards per carry.
Cincinnati has the Big East's No. 3 rush defense -- behind Louisville and USF -- though the Bearcats did allow Connecticut's Donald Brown to rush for 150 yards in Saturday's 40-16 loss.
