Lots of big plays, no points ...
Just to recap a bunch of big plays that probably won't matter in the final game story ...
-- A 42-yard field goal attempt by Maikon Bonani was blocked by Pitt's Greg Williams.
-- On the ensuing play, Pitt tried a direct snap to LeSean McCoy, but defensive tackle Terrell McClain -- perhaps in his first play back -- forced a fumble that was recovered by linebacker Kion Wilson.
-- USF, attempting a 46-yard field goal on fourth-and-4 from the 29, tried a fake, with holder Grant Gregory taking off but getting stopped 3 yards short of the first down ...
