The Drive: Bulls go 86 yards, lead 21-20
Did we say the Bulls needed a big drive? Mike Ford found his rhythm and rushed seven times for 52 yards, then Matt Grothe threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jessie Hester to put the Bulls up 21-20 on Pittsburgh with 5:57 to play.
Ford, who entered the drive with just 19 yards on six carries, broke three consecutive 9-yard runs to open the drive, then broke loose for 14 yards. After a 12-yard Grothe scramble, Ford went for 12 yards, and two plays later, Grothe had another highlight play, rolling out left, stopping and lobbing a pass to a wide-open Hester for the go-ahead touchdown.
USF's defense now has a lead to protect -- can they stop Pittsburgh from doing the same thing?
