A new low for defense: Rutgers up 49-16
USF's defense is establishing all kinds of records in Saturday's loss to Rutgers -- the Bulls are down 49-16 with 3:32 to play, and already the Scarlet Knights have the most points any opponent as scored on USF at home, and the current margin of defeat is USF's largest ever at home -- both marks were previously held in a 43-14 loss to Pittsburgh to end the 2004 season.
USF will drop to 6-4 and is assured of a losing conference record for the first time since that 2004 season. The Bulls have dropped four of five games, the first time that's happened since -- you guessed it -- the 2004 season.
