Home-run offense: Bulls now lead 24-7
In the previous five games, USF hadn't scored more than 20 points once, but the Bulls have done that in less than a half, breaking out to a 24-7 lead on Memphis with 4:15 left in the second quarter.
The latest score was a nice 13-yard touchdown reception, with tight end Ben Busbee catching a Matt Grothe pass and breaking two tackles to find the end zone. Grothe's having a strong game, going 13-for-18 for 175 yards and two scores and rushing for a game-high 50 yards on eight carries.
By the way, receiver A.J. Love suffered an injury on the game's first play and hasn't returned. Sophomore Carlton Mitchell is filling in well, with four catches for 60 yards in the half.
