Report: Canales not Utah State's choice

The head coaching vacancy at Utah State could be filled as early as today, according to a Utah newspaper, and it looks like USF receivers coach Mike Canales isn't the Aggies' top choice.

The Deseret News reported that Utah State has begun contract negotiations with Utah defensive coordinator Gary Andersen. Canales, a Utah State alum, flew to Utah to interview for the job Saturday and has been reported as a finalist for the job. We'll post an update if a formal announcement is made ...
