Selvie, McKenzie make first-team All-Big East

Defensive end George Selvie and linebacker Tyrone McKenzie represented USF as first-team selection to the Big East's all-conference team, with four teammates earning second-team honors.

Selvie, last year's Big East Defensive Player of the Year, saw that honor go to Pittsburgh linebacker Scott McKillop, with Connecticut running back Donald Brown getting the offensive nod and Cincinnati's Mardy Gilyard honored as the league's top special-teams player. Cincinnati's Brian Kelly repeated as the league's coach of the year.

Guard Matt Huners, tackle Marc Dile, tight end Cedric Hill and safety Carlton Williams, all seniors, made the all-conference second team. McKenzie was one of six unanimous first-team selections.
