Still scoring: Plancher gives USF 41-14 lead

Matt Grothe has gone to the bench after a stellar game, but USF's offense is still moving the ball with ease. Backup Grant Gregory led the Bulls on another touchdown run, capped by a 2-yard run by running back Mo Plancher for a 41-14 lead on Memphis with 12:40 left at Tropicana Field.

The Bulls have piled up 456 yards of offense while allowing just 208, and the 41 points matches USF's third-highest total this season. It's just the second bowl win in the program's short history, and will allow the Bulls to finish with an 8-5 record and some positive momentum for the offseason.

The crowd has been announced as 25,205, and again, that's tickets distributed, not fans in the seats. You can't see much of the upper deck from the press box, but the lower levels don't look as bad as might have been anticipated.
