We've written a lot about how prolific USF's women's basketball team has been this season, averaging 91.6 points per game, but the Bulls continue to set records with their offensive output.

I'm here at the Sun Dome, in part because a win today will make Jose Fernandez the winningest basketball coach in USF history -- men's or women's. The Bulls lead Jackson State by a ridiculous margin -- it's 73-22 at halftime, and the Bulls have already hit 12 3-pointers in just one half.

They've reset the school record for points in a half -- it was 69 against Morris Brown in 2001. Two players have already reached 20 points themselves, as guard Jazmine Sepulveda has 21 points and guard Janae Stokes has 20 -- off the bench, no less -- and six of the 3-pointers. The team's leading scorer, guard Shantia Grace, has been comparably quiet, with six points.

The current margin of 51 points would rank in the top 10 all-time entering the season, and the school record for 3s in a game is 14. Only three times in their history have the Bulls hit in an entire game as many threes as they've hit in the first half.
