Live blog: USF women vs. No. 1 UConn

Greetings from the Sun Dome -- harder to imagine a Edit Post | Post | The Bulletin: USF Sports | Your Weblogs | TypePadbigger week of basketball here than the three home games the Bulls are hosting, with two ranked men's teams flanked around Connecticut's top-ranked women's team.

As was the case Friday against Syracuse, there's a ton of visiting fans here, though I don't think the crowd will challenge the record 5,200 that saw the Huskies play here two years ago.

USF is honoring coach Jose Fernandez before the game, presenting him with an autographed basketball to commemorate him becoming the Bulls' all-time winningest basketball coach, men's or women's. Fernandez set the mark with a win in USF's last home game against Jackson State, passing men's coach Bobby Paschal.

We should have plenty of updates as well as some football news -- no, not George Selvie news just yet -- so keep checking back for more ...
