USF has unveiled the Green and White rosters for Saturday's spring football game at Raymond James Stadium -- here's the full rundown from USF's official site -- and there are several interesting things to note from a quick read ...

-- Was thinking that Matt Grothe -- expected to play sparingly -- would be paired with freshman Evan Landi, which allows the Bulls to showcase Landi as a receiver before giving him a long look at quarterback. B.J. Daniels will be the only QB on the Green roster, so he has the best odds at coming out of the game with big passing numbers.

-- There are 13 offensive linemen listed, so the Bulls will have full five-man lines, but only Kevin McCaskill and Mike McGowan (who has limited experience snapping) are listed as centers. If Zach Hermann can go -- he's been limited since suffering a concussion -- then the Green roster seems stronger, with a one-handed Jake Sims, Danous Estenor, Sampson Genus and Chaz Hine all on that side. The White line has arguably one player who would start on a healthy line (Mark Popek) but has Grothe and Mike Ford to help offset that.

-- It's just a weekend switch, but USF will use running back Richard Kelly some as a tight end, leaving the Bulls with just four other running backs between the two teams. Leavitt said Kelly will be a running back this fall, so there's no longterm change here.

-- USF lists Aaron Harris -- a returning starter at defensive tackle -- as a defensive end, and I'll be curious to see how much work he gets coming off the edge Saturday. He'll get most of his work this fall inside, but could be used as an end in some packages. The White roster has only four defensive linemen (the Green has six) so I can see some mid-game swapping going on ...

-- Each team has exactly five healthy defensive backs, with white having a pair of walk-ons, so I can see the vulnerability for deep passes just because the DBs should tire easier than the 13 receivers.
