Baseball: Bulls to face Pitt in Big East opener
USF's baseball team knew Friday that it had clinched the No. 2 seed in the Big East tournament in Clearwater, and on Saturday the Bulls learned their opponent: The No. 7 seed is Pittsburgh, which didn't clinch a spot in the field until the final day of the season.
The Bulls (32-22) will play the Panthers in Tuesday's final game, with a first pitch at 8 p.m. at Bright House Field. USF swept Pittsburgh in their three-game series in Tampa, scoring at least eight runs in each game and outscoring the Panthers by a 31-14 margin.
