Live blog: Bulls battling weather yet again

USF and Connecticut were scheduled for a 3:45 p.m. start here in the Big East baseball tournament, but heavy rains have that on hold -- there's a tarp on the infield, and much of the outfield is downright marshy at Bright House Field (the irony of that name is getting old).

For the third day in a row, we're in a rain delay. The press box has lots of laptops looking at weather radar, and there's the potential for a decent delay if the storms stay on the path they're on right now.

-- USF women's tennis announced the addition of two new players, including Australian Melissa Koning, who transfers in after three seasons at Auburn. Koning, a doubles All-American in 2007, was ranked as high as No. 41 in singles this past season, so she'll compete for USF's No. 1 spot next spring.

-- Finally, an end to the Robert Marve sweepstakes, as the former Plant and Miami quarterback announced he's transferring to Purdue. Here's the story from ESPN.com.
