USF-UConn 'danceoff' video on ESPN today
Susan Boyle has nothing on the viral sensation that is the strange but hilarious danceoff between the USF and UConn baseball teams during a long rain delay at last week's Big East tournament in Clearwater.
If you haven't seen it, well, first, why not? Here's a link
to kill seven minutes of your otherwise productive day -- there are
other longer versions, but they've had to kill their audio over
copyright issues.
We were lucky enough to see it live -- it's better when it's unexpected and not with the buildup of a "you've got to see this" link -- and the Big East was smart enough to have a camera on it, so that very night, we'd linked to the video clip from this blog.
It made it to Youtube, built up some traffic there, and now, it's going network: Highlights from the danceoff will be shown in ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" tonight at 5:30.
We'll ask you for your favorite parts: Is it USF pitcher Shawn Sanford's Michael Jackson moves? Is it UConn's George Springer leading the Husky response? Reliever Andrew Salgueiro doing James Brown? The old uniform-upside-down-walking-around trick? Or USF walk-on Jordan McGillis' "Lord of the Dance" moves at the end, which improbably draws more of the same from a Connecticut player? Perhaps the grand finale with UConn's players running shirtless from left field to storm the tarp?
