Good morning: Starting the week with links
Back home after a great weekend with family over in Oviedo, and lots to catch up on. I'm hoping to get one or both of USF's new men's basketball assistants on the phone, and there should be a few updates on baseball draft picks and other loose ends. Lots more to come ...
-- USF's student newspaper, The Oracle, has a great Q&A with Bucs coach Raheem Morris, who was a speaker at a charity football camp at USF on Sunday and talked about the Bulls and Jim Leavitt.
-- Speaking of football camps, receiver Dontavia Bogan went home to Thomasville, Ga., to help out with another youth camp in his hometown, according to the Thomasville Times Enterprise.
-- The Orlando Sentinel's Bill Buchalter has ranked the top 100 football recruits in Florida for the 2010 class. He has 24 of the top 100 considering USF among their favorites, but which is more disconcerting for Bulls fans: That Bradenton quarterback Brion Carnes is down at No. 57, or that Buchalter doesn't consider him a USF commitment, lumping the Bulls in with Georgia, Clemson and West Virginia despite recent statements that he's committed to USF?
-- MLB.com makes a "University of Southern Florida" reference.
-- Canada.com has an update on former USF receiver Jackie Chambers' bid to make the Calgary Stampeders as a rookie.
