USF video: Best Leavitt bits from preseason
As USF marks the end of preseason camp and the start of the regular season Monday in preparation for the opener against Wofford, the hard-working video folks at USF have cobbled together an outstanding six-minute collection of the best in random nuggets of wisdom culled from Jim Leavitt's post-practice interviews.
It's all there -- his always-amusing love of Nesquik chocolate milk, his near-mortal fear of lightning, his total displeasure at the sound of a cellphone ringing during an interview. They even seamlessly weave in clip art from "Full House."
Leavitt has been downright chatty in the past month, with a notable exception Thursday, when the rumbling of an approaching thunderstorm put him in vintage Must End Interview Now mode, allowing him to escape the media in a 2009 record of 1 minute, 36 seconds. I would say that record could stand all season, but I know him better than that.
