The fall season is officially underway, as USF's volleyball and women's soccer teams won their season openers on Friday, with volleyball sweeping Prairie View A&M in Miami and soccer getting a 1-0 win at home against Florida Atlantic.

Soccer, which hadn't given up a goal in two preseason exhibitions, got another shutout from senior goalkeeper Mallori Lofton-Malachi, with Noelle Pineiro getting the game's only goal. USF's defense didn't allow a shot on goal in the second half. The Bull next play at Florida on Sunday in Gainesville.
