USF women fall in OT to Florida A&M
I wouldn't normally live blog from a USF-Florida A&M women's basketball game, but I'm here and I'm used to live-blogging during games, and it's the season opener for the Bulls, so it's a chance to get to know some of the eight newcomers on the team. Coach Jose Fernandez isn't here tonight, resting in a Tampa hospital with severe abdominal pains, so associate coach Jeff Osterman is the interim coach tonight.
USF ends an eight-game winning streak in overtime games, allowing Florida A&M to score the final six points in a 73-68 overtime win in the Sun Dome. The Bulls needed a three in the closing seconds but went inside to Jessica Lawson, who missed an inside shot. FAMU hit two free throws to seal the win.
