USF LB Wilson gets Big East defensive honor

USF senior linebacker Kion Wilson, who had a key interception and 12 tackles in the Bulls' 30-19 win against then-No. 20 West Virginia, has been honored as the Big East defensive player of the week.

Wilson, who had a team-best 2.5 tackles for loss against the Mountaineers, wasn't the only Bulls player honored by the league. Redshirt freshman quarterback B.J. Daniels made the honor roll -- his three passing touchdowns, 104 rushing yards and 232 passing yards weren't apparently enough to get offensive player of the week, which went to Rutgers receiver Tim Brown, who had 162 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in the final minute of the Scarlet Knights' win against Connecticut.
