Bulls' 2014 football schedule taking shape

10

February

Though USF's official 2014 schedule hasn't been finalized, a partial rough draft now is available.

The non-conference games -- USF's first four contests -- have been set for some time. The Bulls open at home Aug. 30 against Western Carolina, host Maryland and North Carolina State the following two Saturdays, observe a bye week, then travel to Wisconsin on Sept. 27.

The American Athletic Conference slate isn't complete, but according to fbschedules.com, some schools have leaked all or part of their '14 conference opponents.

According to the site (which has no confirmed game dates), USF will host Connecticut and American newcomer East Carolina, and will play at Cincinnati and SMU. The UCF game isn't confirmed, but it's a foregone conclusion the Bulls will play their in-state rival annually.

The Bulls would host this fall after visiting Orlando in '13.

And in case you're not up to speed on whom the evolving new conference will comprise in 2014, here are the schools:

Cincinnati
Connecticut
East Carolina
Houston
Memphis
SMU
Temple
Tulane
Tulsa
UCF
USF
(Navy is set to join in 2015)
