Bulls women 19th in preseason coaches poll
Three days after receiving some preseason hype from coaches in its conference, USF's women's basketball team coach got some more from others around the country.
The Bulls, picked to finish second in the American Athletic Conference by league coaches Monday, were ranked 19th in the preseason USA Today Coaches Poll released Thursday. USF never previously had been ranked in either the coaches or Associated Press preseason polls.
FSU, which returns four starters from last season's Elite Eight squad, was ranked seventh. The Bulls don't face the Seminoles in the regular season, but they will play three ranked teams: consensus No. 1 Connecticut (Jan. 10 at home, Feb. 29 away), at No. 8 Louisville (Feb. 15) and No. 13 Mississippi State (Dec. 30 in Jacksonville).
The AP poll will be released Tuesday. The full USA Today poll can be found here.
