Andrea Smith helps USF women close out Bradley
TAMPA -- Senior guard Andrea Smith scored 15 of USF's final 18 points as the Bulls pulled away to a 60-50 win against Bradley on Tuesday night to stay undefeated.
Smith, who finished with a game-high 24 points, had those 15 in the final six minutes, after Bradley had cut a seven-point lead to two. Guard Inga Orekhova had 10 points and five assists as the only other Bulls player scoring in double digits.
USF committed 20 turnovers, but the Bulls were active on defense with seven steals and 12 blocks, including four each from Akila McDonald and Orekhova. The Bulls stay home to face North Dakota on Friday night, then travel to play UNC-Asheville on Wednesday.
