Back in the fold: QB Woulard re-commits to USF
Asiantii Woulard is once again a big part of USF's football future, as the talented Winter Park quarterback on Friday re-affirmed his commitment to play for the Bulls in 2013, two months after he had re-opened his recruitment.
Woulard, who originally committed to the Bulls in February, chooses the Bulls over offers said to include South Carolina, Syracuse, Rutgers, Mississippi and Purdue. He announced his commitment live on Tampa's 1010 AM sports radio station, later writing about his pledge on Twitter.com.
USF is expected to sign two quarterbacks in its 2013 class, with only backups Bobby Eveld and Matt Floyd returning after B.J. Daniels finishes as a four-year starter this fall. When he first committed to USF, Woulard was unranked in the Orlando Sentinel's top 60 recruits for Central Florida; now he's No. 17 and the top quarterback in their updated rankings. Woulard is a high school teammate of USF signee D'vario Montgomery, who will start summer classes in two weeks as a highly touted incoming freshman.
Some of USF's best recruiting success under Skip Holtz has been in Orlando, and Woulard's commitment could help the Bulls land his Winter Park teammate, safety Blake McClain, as well as DeLand running back JoJo Kemp.
