Big day for Zak Boggs; ex-USF Bulls star nominated for Sullivan Award
On the heels of signing with Major League Soccer's New England Revolution, former USF Bulls soccer star Zak Boggs has been nominated for the Sullivan Award. You can
vote for him. The award is for the top amateur athlete of 2009. The Sullivan Award
has been presented annually by the Amateur Athletic Union since 1930 as a salute to founder and past president of the AAU, and a pioneer in amateur sports, James E. Sullivan. Based on the qualities of leadership, character, sportsmanship and the ideals of amateurism, the AAU Sullivan Award goes far beyond athletic accomplishments and honors those who have shown strong moral character.
