Big week ahead for Pierre-Paul, USF hopefuls

After six weeks of postseason preparations, six former USF players have a big weekend ahead at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, where they'll be poked and prodded by league front-office types, trying to improve their positions in April's draft.

No Bulls player has more on the line than defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who has jumped up into the top half of the first round, potentially into the top five. There's another mainstream mock draft that has Pierre-Paul going No. 3 to the Bucs --'s Bucky Brooks has him there, though it's a decidedly outside the box mock, with no Jimmy Clausen in the first round, Eric Berry down at No. 13 and Sam Bradford at No. 26.

As if there weren't enough buzz around Pierre-Paul and his crazy-back-handspring video, he'll be doing a national radio appearance today on ESPN Radio with Scott Van Pelt at 3:41 p.m. -- think it's at the top of the minute, but could be a little later ...
