Boston College considering USF assistant Vaas for offensive coordinator spot



Boston College is considering USF quarterbacks coach Peter Vaas for its vacant offensive coordinator position.

Vaas, 58 has spoke with the Eagles, who are looking to replace recently-retired Gary Tranquill. According to the Boston Globe, Vikings quarterback coach Kevin Rogers is the leading candidate, with BC wide receivers coach Ryan Day, tight ends coach Dave Brock and Deleware offensive coordinator Jim Hofher also on the list.

Vaas, reached Monday, declined to comment. Vaas joined the USF staff prior to last season after spending one season as offensive coordinator with Miami (Ohio). A Westwood, Mass native, Vaas played collegiately at Holy Cross.
