Bucs sign Nebraska QB
Former USF quarterback Pat Julmiste's hopes of landing a free-agent contract from the Bucs took a hit Friday when Tampa Bay announced the signing of another rookie quarterback, Zac Taylor of Nebraska.
Julmiste was scheduled to participate Friday in the first day of the Bucs' three-day rookie minicamp, which could result in a few free-agent contracts.
Taylor set Nebraska's single-season record for passing yards (2,486) and was named the Big 12's Offensive Player of the Year last fall. As many quarterbacks as the Bucs already have on roster, it's unlikely that they'd need more than one rookie in camp as well.
