Bulls up to 19 signings, more to come ..

USF has confirmed 19 signings, the most recent additions being Boca Ciega defensive end Julius Forte and safeties Ivan Nicholas (Jacksonville Lee) and Jaquez Jenkins (Lakewood).

That leaves eight commitments by my count -- I can confirm that QB/TE Isaac Virgin and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul signed this morning, and others should be soon -- Miami Pace's ceremony for Sterling Griffin and Derrick Hopkins should be any moment, and Dunedin's Adaris Bellamy will sign at 12:15, though he's unlikely to qualify academically for this fall.

The official site is the first chance we have to get USF's take on the recruits' positions, heights and weights -- Nicholas and Jenkins, for instance, are both listed as safeties, while Ricardo Dixon is a corner. Of the offensive linemen, Jamar Bass is listed at guard -- something we've hinted at -- as is Steven Jacques and John McGhin, while Carlos Savala is a tackle. Of the linebackers, Chase Griffiths and DeDe Lattimore are classified as inside linebackers, while Sam Barrington is just listed as "LB" -- he'll be on the outside this fall.

The only surprise position so far is Demi Thompson, who has been a defensive end at Lake Mary but is listed as a tackle for USF -- at 6-foot-1, 245, he probably has some bulk to add before he sees playing time at that position. The only nebulous position so far is Hallandale's Victor Marc, who is listed as an "athlete," though receivers coach Mike Canales has said he likes Marc's abilities as a slot receiver.

I've seen Jamar Bass with four different weights listed in the past two days, so I'm happy to announce his official USF weight is 290 pounds ...

-- Looks like Virginia Tech literally plucked Jayron Hosley away at the last minute. "It was a busy last three minutes," coach Andre Thaddies told the Palm Beach Post. "He was on the phone with USF. I did not know. I thought it was USF as of 9 this morning. I didn't even have the scholarship papers (to Virginia Tech). He agonized over this for a long time, but I think it's the right decision."

Keep checking back, lots more to come ...
