Bulls to play Yankees to open spring training

USF's baseball team has added a big-name opponent to its 2008 schedule: the Bulls will play an exhibition against the New York Yankees at Legends Field at 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 29, the first game of spring training for the Yankees.

It's a great get for coach Lelo Prado, whose brother-in-law and assistant coach, Tino Martinez, played seven seasons with the Yankees, including four World Series championships in 1996 and 1998-2000. The Bulls are scheduled to open their season a week earlier, facing Indiana State on Feb. 22-24.
