Bush signs with Jackson State
Scratch another prospect off the list for Stan Heath's first recruiting class at USF. Jenirro Bush, a 6-foot-6 guard who had committed to Arkansas when Heath coached there and considered USF in the last month, went small-school instead, signing with Jackson State. Bush had a strong list of major Division I programs he was considering, and two weeks ago, he was still considering attending a prep school if he didn't post the necessary qualifying scores.
Look for Heath to focus on the frontcourt with his remaining scholarships this spring -- Kem Nweke, a 6-foot-10, 309-pound center from the Houston area, was to visit USF this week but couldn't work out a date when both Heath and assistant Dan Hipsher would both be in Tampa. His high school coach, Gary Nichols, said Tuesday that Nweke is in the process of scheduling a visit to the Bulls for next week.
