Daniels gets last shot at 'crazy' Rutgers defense



USF's Big East opener against Rutgers is little more than 24 hours off, and our preview in Thursday's paper looks at what Rutgers has done to limit B.J. Daniels in his three career starts against the Scarlet Knights.


Daniels has averaged just 176 yards of total offense against Rutgers -- among Big East opponents, only Pittsburgh has held him to fewer yards -- but USF comes in with its passing game clicking and Daniels throwing six touchdowns in his first two games. By comparison, he threw only five in the final eight games of 2011 as the Bulls stumbled from a 4-0 start.
