Davis earns Big East offensive nod after record haul
Catching up on a busy morning: USF sophomore receiver Andre Davis, who caught the winning touchdown in the final minute of the Bulls' 32-31 comeback win at Nevada, was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week.
That 56-yard score also gave Davis a pair of USF's biggest receiving records, with 12 catches and 191 yards for the day, the latter breaking a mark set in USF's first game in 1997. Davis also had a 52-yard touchdown for the Bulls' first points of the day.
Senior linebacker Sam Barrington, who forced two fumbles that were recovered in the red zone to thwart Nevada scoring opportunities, was named to the Big East's weekly honor roll.
