DT Grissom breaks out of redshirt

Defensive tackle Cory Grissom, sidelined by an ankle injury in the first three games, has made his USF debut against FIU, becoming the sixth true freshman to play this season. He joins quarterback B.J. Daniels, receiver Daniel Bryant, tackle Danous Estenor, linebacker LaDre Watkins and kicker Maikon Bonani as true freshmen playing this season.

I can also report that defensive end Jarriett Buie has made his first tackles of the season after going without one in the first three games.

USF still isn't clicking on offense, as Marcus Edwards let an FIU punt bounce past him to USF's 6-yard line, and the Bulls couldn't muster a first down. Given a third-and-1 at the 15, Mike Ford was stopped for no gain. He's clearly not back to his old self yet, with 22 yards on 10 carries.
