Ex-USF QB Grothe on Miami radio at 2 p.m.

There hasn't been much news from former USF quarterback Matt Grothe in the month since he signed with the United Football League's Florida Tuskers, but Bulls fans have a chance to hear from him today, as he'll be a guest on 560 WQAM radio in Miami at 2 p.m. today.

For Miami-area readers, looks like Grothe will be on WSVN-TV's 11:30 p.m. Sports Extra show tonight as well. I'll post a link if they put any video on their site.

It's still another two months until the Tuskers' season starts in September, but there are three Bulls on Florida's provisional roster -- Grothe, defensive end Jarriett Buie and safety J.R. Reed. There could be more by the start of UFL training camp as NFL teams make their roster cuts ...

-- Quieter second NBA summer league game for USF's Dominique Jones, who had 10 points in the Mavericks' loss to Houston on Saturday. He next plays Monday night against Milwaukee.

-- Interesting football schedule note from Central Florida, which has landed a home-and-home with South Carolina in 2013 and 2015.
