Ex-USF QB Gunsby already out at Georgia Military
Former USF quarterback Jamius Gunsby, who transferred to Georgia Military College this summer after one season with the Bulls, quit after only three weeks at his new school, GMC coach Bert Williams said Friday.
Gunsby, who redshirted his only season with the Bulls and asked to step away from the team early in spring drills to focus on his academics, didn't make it halfway through GMC's summer session, and Williams said his players aren't under the same military restrictions during summer classes.
"This was not a military thing. He just didn't want to lift and run and do what needs to be done," he said. "This was a character flaw issue."
Gunsby signed with USF last year as a three-star recruit out of LaGrange, Ga., as the first quarterback to sign with USF under coach Skip Holtz.
