Former USF tackle Jones signs with UFL

Former USF offensive tackle Kenyatta Jones, who won a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots in 2002 but has been more known for off-field arrests in the last two years, has signed with the New York Sentinels of the new UFL football league.

Jones is the third former USF player to sign with the new league, joining defensive tackle Richard Clebert (New York) and offensive guard Frank Davis (Las Vegas). The league opens its preseason camp on Monday, and has a franchise based in Orlando, the Florida Tuskers, which will play one game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on Oct. 30.

Jones got into trouble last year when he was arrested twice, once on drug-related charges and before that when police said he attempted to urinate on the dance floor at the Blue Martini nightclub.

Jones, 30, had signed with the Tampa Bay Storm before his arrests last year, and I can't find any record of him playng professionally since the Patriots released him in 2004.
