Full disclosure: My AP Top 25 ballot
The team ranked No. 1 nationally lost for the second week in a row, so there's a lot of upheaval in the rankings -- Wisconsin was ranked similarly to where South Carolina was a week earlier, again allowing a voter to generally keep teams ahead of same-record teams they've beaten.
Missouri might be the toughest team to rank right now -- I have them No. 17, the lowest of the 10 remaining unbeatens, in part because they and Oklahoma State are the only unbeatens not to beat a ranked team so far. Missouri has given up just 65 points this season, matching TCU for the lowest among ranked teams, and they'll have a chance to make up significant ground with Oklahoma and Nebraska in the next two weeks. I continue to be impressed by Oklahoma, but can't move down TCU when the Horned Frogs have allowed three points in their last three games.
Last week, we added the first two-loss team in Oregon State, and with four teams dropping out, I added in four new two-loss teams. I nearly moved Texas ahead of Arkansas -- which do you value higher, that Arkansas' two losses were both to top 10 teams, or that Texas, despite a less excusable loss, has a top-five win against Nebraska? I opted for Texas -- giving up 65 points to anyone isn't a good sign.
