Former USF defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was rewarded for his breakout season Tuesday with news that he has been selected to play in the Pro Bowl on Jan. 29 in Hawaii.

Pierre-Paul has 15.5 sacks in his second NFL season, and he's the first former USF player voted outright into the Pro Bowl -- Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins made the Pro Bowl two years ago as an injury replacement, also in his second NFL season.

We visited Giants practice in November and wrote this feature about Pierre-Paul and his emergence in this sophomore NFL season as the game slows down with a better understanding of the Giants defense and his role in it.
